Brookhaven Town Supervisor Ed Romaine greeted our community for an evening of information. One of his opening statements was that he had just become aware that our development was not responsible for maintaining the roads, that the Town is and he admitted he did not know that. Inasmuch as we are a PUD, we are a rather unique community. He explained to us that the Highway Department was a separate department and that they are the ones we would need to deal with regarding the roads and islands in each court. He would, in effect, become the messenger to the Highway Department. Two of our Board members, Pat Cruz and Helene Singer, are to meet with the Highway Department's representative for us on June 30. We will be updated regarding the outcome of that meeting.

Supervisor Romaine addressed the issue of delinquent common charges and explained how we might go about doing better with that.

There was a short question and answer period and the evening ended with coffee and cake.
